 ¡Hola Familia y Amigos!


I think I have reached that point in my mission when pday rolls around and I literally have no idea what to put into my group email. 

But I'll think....

This week Hermana Jones, Hermana Skinner, and Hermana Albrecht and I went to the bishop's storehouse. That's always an interesting experience hahaha. But this time we got to explore a little bit. The bishop's storehouse is SO DOPE! I lowkey feel like I'm playing a game of house and just doing everybody's grocery shopping when I'm there. My parents should have just sent me to the bishop's storehouse as a kid....but I love it there. It's such a cool experience being able to help those in need. Hermana Albrecht and I did some wandering around and got to go back into the warehouse. One of the missionaries took us back into this -10 degree freezer and we got to see how things work more behind the scenes. All I have to say is that this really is Jesus Christ's church. 

It's weird to think Christmas is so close. I remember the first 23 days of December being the longggggest as a kid but now time is literally flying. How are we seriously a week into December?! I just know once 2021 gets here I'll blink and my mission will be over. 

Now that it's out of our apartment....here is kind of a funny story. So my roommates, comp, and I moved into an apartment a few doors down from our last one. It was a little bigger and had a carport so the mission wanted us to move. Anyways, Hermana Jones and I did some moving and then had to go take care of some other sisters in the mission so we left the rest of the work to Hermana Skinner and Hermana Albrecht. Well I guess when they were cleaning out some of the cabinets they found a GUN! Yes! A literal gun! Just chilling on a shelf in the kitchen hahaha So we called the mission and a couple days later they came and got it. Turns out it was a BB gun but still.....scary hahaha. See picture below.

Rubi and her kiddos are still scheduled to be baptized on December 28th so fingers crossed nothing crazy comes up. Satan works so hard the few weeks before baptism and I hate him for it. 

Hermana Jones and I are giving a training in the upcoming Mission Leadership Council we are having this week and I'm hyped about it! Seriously can't believe we have already been together for 3 weeks. The transfer is halfway over tomorrow!

Anyways, the Church is true. Watch "The Christ Child" video if you haven't! We watched the behind the scenes for the 20 minute movie and it was the coolest thing ever. Part of me wants to become a scholar on the Bible and Book of Mormon because the things they know are CRAZY! I'll link both videos below :)

¡Hola Amigos y Familia! If you know you know. This week went by reallllllyyyyy slow not going to lie. Patience is a virtue....I lack. I'm working on it.  Last week after p-day I had "divisiones" with a Hermana Cappa! There are two Hermana Cappas and they're over the whole Santiago Centro Zone. Hermana V. and I said goodbye for 24 hours to go on splits with the Hermana Cappas. Tender mercy, I was assigned to a gringa! She's actually going home this week so that kind of stunk (#trunky) BUT she was able to answer a lot (and I had a LOT) of questions. We went and did something called a "Tormenta Blanca" which basically means a group of elders and hermanas go to an area and help out the elders or hermanas assigned to that area. We went to an area in my zone called "Frias" which was a 3 hour bus ride away. SO, we woke up at 3:30am to catch the bus and started working right after we stepped off. "Why Are They All White?"

¡Hola Familia y Amigos! So we had a cita with Exequiel this week to teach him more about prophets, temples, etc. All that good stuff. I pulled out a picture of all the general authorities and Exequiel sat there for a sec before saying, "Why are they all white?" It was pretty funny not going to lie. There's a solid amount of general authorities from South America but they all look white so we tried to explain that.  This week was kind of an odd week. Everyday was super overcast and rainy and Hermana Horton and I just kinda felt weird. At least 3 times once a day we'd look at each other and say something like, "Why is today so weird?" I think we were letting the weather get to us because we actually had a VERY productive week. The Sister Training Leaders came over yesterday to verify our weekly planning and they said they've never seen a companionship work so effectively.
