Currently standing in line at Cafe Rio so today is already a great day. Happy Labor Day everybody!

This morning a group of us woke up early and went and hiked Bell's Canyon. It was super funny because we ran into some missionaries from the SLC South mission and one of them happened to be the brother of one of the elders I was hiking with. Cute little family reunion. It felt soooo nice getting outside! Utah is beautiful and with all the trees starting to change color....😍 literally so pretty!!! I love Utah.

Our zone leaders came and brought us flowers earlier this week. It was the nicest thing. They were really awkward about it but it was a nice thought hahaha. They were handing them out to women in their ward and had some extras I guess. 

We had some great lessons this week. I love these people and having to hand them off to their missionaries STINKS! But, I feel so lucky to have gotten to know them. Especially Armando. He is my favorite.

Lots of studying too. One of my goals this last week was to read all the accounts of the First Vision. I am so grateful for the things we learn about God from these separate accounts. God KNOWS us, by name! He LOVES us. He FORGIVES us. Because He sent his Only Begotten Son, we are SAVED! So many people think Joseph Smith is the main character of the Restoration but he's not. When has God NOT been the main character?

This week we had a lesson with a woman named Carmen. We talked about how God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. It was a little awkward because she told her husband to leave the room and then opened her Bible. I was like ahhhhhhh shoot, because we were not about to Bible bash. Not what we are here for. Anyways, she started talking about how prophets ended with Christ and how the Bible is the only scripture we need. I guess more than anything it just bummed me out. It makes me so sad to think there are people out there who refuse to accept that God con. I can't understand God that way. He gives us prophets to guide us, like He always has! Visit Luke 1:70. He reveals his word to all His children....FOREVER! You can receive personal guidance and direction in your life right NOW! Reach out to Him. He'll answer if you do it with faith. He's done it to me and so many of the people I know and love. God's good, isn't he?

¡Hola Amigos y Familia! If you know you know. This week went by reallllllyyyyy slow not going to lie. Patience is a virtue....I lack. I'm working on it.  Last week after p-day I had "divisiones" with a Hermana Cappa! There are two Hermana Cappas and they're over the whole Santiago Centro Zone. Hermana V. and I said goodbye for 24 hours to go on splits with the Hermana Cappas. Tender mercy, I was assigned to a gringa! She's actually going home this week so that kind of stunk (#trunky) BUT she was able to answer a lot (and I had a LOT) of questions. We went and did something called a "Tormenta Blanca" which basically means a group of elders and hermanas go to an area and help out the elders or hermanas assigned to that area. We went to an area in my zone called "Frias" which was a 3 hour bus ride away. SO, we woke up at 3:30am to catch the bus and started working right after we stepped off. "Why Are They All White?"

¡Hola Familia y Amigos! So we had a cita with Exequiel this week to teach him more about prophets, temples, etc. All that good stuff. I pulled out a picture of all the general authorities and Exequiel sat there for a sec before saying, "Why are they all white?" It was pretty funny not going to lie. There's a solid amount of general authorities from South America but they all look white so we tried to explain that.  This week was kind of an odd week. Everyday was super overcast and rainy and Hermana Horton and I just kinda felt weird. At least 3 times once a day we'd look at each other and say something like, "Why is today so weird?" I think we were letting the weather get to us because we actually had a VERY productive week. The Sister Training Leaders came over yesterday to verify our weekly planning and they said they've never seen a companionship work so effectively.
