Flight Plans

 Hello Parents and presidents of the missionaries of the Mission Salta Argentina,

Included is some information concerning the return flights of your children.

 

 

·         We have arranged 2 charters to take the remaining North American missionaries to the United States on Saturday morning, April 4, at 8:00 and 10:00 am.  The flights are scheduled to arrive in Salt Lake City on Saturday evening at 5:10 pm and 7:10 pm, respectively. 

·         More detailed itineraries will be sent as soon as they are available, including those who have connecting flights out of Salt Lake.  However, given that flights can be delayed, it is possible that connecting flight itineraries will not be sent until we know the flights have left and have not impacted connections.  If connecting flights are not available until Sunday, April 5, your missionary will spend the night in a local hotel for the night.

·         There are a great deal of variables that will go into successfully moving approximately 550 missionaries from the four corners of the country during an obligatory quarantine and closed borders.  Your faith, prayers and patience are greatly appreciated.  If there are significant changes, I will be sure to communicate them promptly.

·         A project of this size requires a great deal of coordination.  The area presidency, Area Travel, and Area Legal are all working directly with the Argentine government, local governments and the U.S. Embassy to bring this all together.

·         Please rest assured that we are doing everything to keep your missionary safe, healthy and to get them home to you as soon as possible.

¡Hola Amigos y Familia! If you know you know. This week went by reallllllyyyyy slow not going to lie. Patience is a virtue....I lack. I'm working on it.  Last week after p-day I had "divisiones" with a Hermana Cappa! There are two Hermana Cappas and they're over the whole Santiago Centro Zone. Hermana V. and I said goodbye for 24 hours to go on splits with the Hermana Cappas. Tender mercy, I was assigned to a gringa! She's actually going home this week so that kind of stunk (#trunky) BUT she was able to answer a lot (and I had a LOT) of questions. We went and did something called a "Tormenta Blanca" which basically means a group of elders and hermanas go to an area and help out the elders or hermanas assigned to that area. We went to an area in my zone called "Frias" which was a 3 hour bus ride away. SO, we woke up at 3:30am to catch the bus and started working right after we stepped off. "Why Are They All White?"

¡Hola Familia y Amigos! So we had a cita with Exequiel this week to teach him more about prophets, temples, etc. All that good stuff. I pulled out a picture of all the general authorities and Exequiel sat there for a sec before saying, "Why are they all white?" It was pretty funny not going to lie. There's a solid amount of general authorities from South America but they all look white so we tried to explain that.  This week was kind of an odd week. Everyday was super overcast and rainy and Hermana Horton and I just kinda felt weird. At least 3 times once a day we'd look at each other and say something like, "Why is today so weird?" I think we were letting the weather get to us because we actually had a VERY productive week.
