She LIVES!

¡Hello Friends and Family!

I am not going to lie when I say that this week was absolutely brutal for me. REALLY understanding the whole "refiner's fire" story now. But another week down so that's good.

I really am trying to do my best to respond to emails! I read EVERY email I receive but am getting a little behind on responding so I apologize. Love you ALL! Thank you for writing and supporting me.

This week was a blur. They all have been. It really is true what they say, "the days feel like weeks but the weeks feel like days." Except this week. This week felt like 15 years ahahahaha.

The ward Hermana V. and I are serving in is pretty messed up. There are a lotttt of problems so I think we're going to try and work a lot through members. Except one of our lunches this week (with members. all our lunches are with members) was four hours and I was starting to get a little drained out to say the least. But I don't know castellano so I sat there and tried to stay awake. The hermana who fed us lunch noticed me dozing off soooooo she gave me a massage! SUPER weird! Nothing like getting a massage from a member who you can't communicate with! Woke me up to say the least.

Still the ward pianist. Also became the pianist for the primary program 20 minutes before it started. There were 3 kids in the primary, two of which were from the same family. 30 people were in the congregation yesterday. Got a lot of work to do!

Also just found out I'm playing the piano for our zone conference tomorrow. Yikes.

Hermana V. and I eat ice cream just about everyday. I don't know a lot of sentences in Spanish but I can say "I want ice cream for dinner" fluently. Don't know if I mentioned this in my last email but the milk here is boxed and unrefrigerated. Overall the food is pretty normal here. Lots of meat and potatoes. Fruit is a dessert which has definitely been an adjustment for me since I used to eat a mango for dinner every night in college.

Hermana V. and I taught a lady named Victoria this week. She's a grandma who lives alone and is really nice. Also she has a super cute dog so that's always a plus. I don't know if she's actually interested in what Hermana V. and I have to say or if she just likes talking to my comp BUT she always has her tv on so when Hermana V. and her really start getting into a conversation (not gospel related) I just try and translate what's happening on the tv. Don't understand a lot but I think the Argentina government is falling apart. I did watch this little news spiel on this lady who takes in every dog she's found on the street. And there are a LOT here in Argentina. She has something like 80 dogs all chilling in her front porch/yard. People are weird.

Words can't express how excited I am for the day I won't have to wear shoes in the shower. ALSO super hyped for it to NOT be 100 degrees both outside and inside of our apartment. Showers are especially awesome during this time of the year because you dry off for 2 minutes only to be wet again. Sorry if that's TMI but the humidity here is absolutely ridiculous. Argentina is wack.

A lot of other stuff happened this week but overall it was pretty rough and I can't remember nada! This week will be better. I know I'm where Heavenly Father needs me. I've seen His hand in my life everyday. Seriously, every day.

Lots of love for you all! Everyone go listen to "Feel Again" by OneRepublic. Best freaking song ever and motivates me every morning. May or may not have full on dance parties to it by myself when Hermana V. is in the bathroom.

Took 0 pics this week but here's one I got from Hermana V.
