I'm Dreaming of a White...Halloween?

Yesterday's low was 19 degrees so that meant waking up to snow!...and a lot more than I expected for the first one this season. It's been about 18 months since I've seen snow/had a winter so I'm not quite sure how I'll survive the next 5 months haha

Hermana Shumway goes home in 3 weeks! Crazy to think we are already halfway through the transfer. Time is flying. This week we had zone conference and it was probably my favorite one yet. The Spirit was so strong. 

This week I was studying in Jacob and came across a verse that really caught my attention. It says, "...trusting in the God and the rock of their salvation; wherefore, they became as yet, conquerors of their enemies." I love that! They became conquerors of their enemies by trusting in God! By letting God prevail! It made me think of our prophet's most recent message from this last general conference when he said, "The Lord is gathering those who are willing to let God prevail in their lives. The Lord is gathering those who will choose to let God be the most important influence in their lives." Wow. So powerful and so true. Those who are willing to let God prevail are being separated from those who do not. And we have been chosen and prepared for this time, to help in the Gathering of Israel! Please let God be a priority in your life. Please let Him be your first priority.

¡Hola Amigos y Familia! If you know you know. This week went by reallllllyyyyy slow not going to lie. Patience is a virtue....I lack. I'm working on it.  Last week after p-day I had "divisiones" with a Hermana Cappa! There are two Hermana Cappas and they're over the whole Santiago Centro Zone. Hermana V. and I said goodbye for 24 hours to go on splits with the Hermana Cappas. Tender mercy, I was assigned to a gringa! She's actually going home this week so that kind of stunk (#trunky) BUT she was able to answer a lot (and I had a LOT) of questions. We went and did something called a "Tormenta Blanca" which basically means a group of elders and hermanas go to an area and help out the elders or hermanas assigned to that area. We went to an area in my zone called "Frias" which was a 3 hour bus ride away. SO, we woke up at 3:30am to catch the bus and started working right after we stepped off. "Why Are They All White?"

¡Hola Familia y Amigos! So we had a cita with Exequiel this week to teach him more about prophets, temples, etc. All that good stuff. I pulled out a picture of all the general authorities and Exequiel sat there for a sec before saying, "Why are they all white?" It was pretty funny not going to lie. There's a solid amount of general authorities from South America but they all look white so we tried to explain that.  This week was kind of an odd week. Everyday was super overcast and rainy and Hermana Horton and I just kinda felt weird. At least 3 times once a day we'd look at each other and say something like, "Why is today so weird?" I think we were letting the weather get to us because we actually had a VERY productive week. The Sister Training Leaders came over yesterday to verify our weekly planning and they said they've never seen a companionship work so effectively.
